In order to optimize and balance the development of the Campus TPG (235 ha) and its integration in the urban tissue, without losing its special identity, the University of Bordeaux and its partners have commissioned  a strategy to guide the transformation of the site during the next 10 to 15 years.

The tramway is central to this project of the planning and development of the university domain to become an inhabited, used, accessible and protected site. The goal is to give the tramway a better image and optimal functioning within a more qualitative perspective: linking the campus and its environment, improving its internal structure and encouraging functional diversification and optimal transport connections.

Agence Ter proposes a large central park, generating a true campus identity. This park is composed of various existing dispersed green spaces that will be restructured to create a single metropolitan park of around 40 hectares.
